I sometimes put off asking for what I want for a very long time. I have all kinds of ways of skirting the question... testing the water. Sometimes I never do get around to asking.
Asking is the first step in receiving what we want… what we need. It is important to remain unattached to the response; to know that the request is valid and if we receive a “No,” it is not a rejection, but rather we need to seek another avenue.
There are many channels through which our good flows but there is only one source and it is God.
I listen.
I know.
I ask with clarity for what I need.
